What to Expect
Day 1: Tangier- Chefchaouen
On the first day, we’ll pick you up from Tangier Airport or your accommodation. We will drive to Chefchaouen the “Blue City” where you spent the rest of the day. Halfway we stop for tea/coffee and sweets. Dinner & overnight in Chefchaouen city.
or optional Volubilis-Moulay Idriss – FezDay 2: Chefchaouen- Fez city
On the next day and after breakfast at your Hotel/Riad in Chefchaouen, we will explore the Blue City of Chefchaouen. It is situated in the Rif Mountains and known by its Andalusian character, amazing lights, and blue colors. There is a bright mountain light on the city, which seems magical. The modest center with the picturesque medina and the beautiful mountain ridges in the background make the city beautiful. The city does not attract too many visitors, so it is definitely worth visiting the beautiful “blue city “of Chefchaouen. We lead you to see the Kasbah -a refurbished castle with a beautiful garden, a small ethnographic museum, and an art gallery- and the Grand Mosque. Plaza Uta el-Hammam in the heart of medina that is surrounded by traditional cafés and restaurants is a nice place for dinner or a drink.
After spending the day in Chefchaouen we will drive to Fez late in the afternoon to spend the night in the imperial city of Fez.
Optional Day 2
Maybe you like to visit Volubilis and Meknes on your way to Fez. In that case, we will be leaving from Chefchaouen earlier; probably end of the morning. ( read about Volubilis/Meknes) Your driver can advise you if you like.
Day 3: Fes City Tour
On the third day after breakfast at your Hotel/Riad, we’ll start discovering the oldest Moroccan city “Fez” with a professional local guide. You will be amazed by walking in the labyrinth of small streets. We’ll visit the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter, not forgetting all the cultural and historical sites you would like to see; including the famous University Al Qarawiyyin that is considered to be the oldest one in the world, Fez tanneries, and the wonderful Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After having lunch in a traditional Moroccan restaurant, we will visit the ceramic tiles and pottery cooperative and last but not least enjoy an amazing panoramic view from Borj Nord overlooking the whole Medina of Fes. At the end of your tour, we will either transfer you to the Airport “ Fes-Saiss Airport “or to your Hotel/ Riad in Fez.
